Thurlestone Hotel and Mullion Cove Hotel

Tim grew up in the hotel industry and is the fourth generation in the family to continue this tradition. From the age of 14 he was thrown into his parents’ hotel kitchen to try to put him off the industry but this ploy failed! He graduated from Oxford Polytechnic in 1992, during which time he completed a year in industry working at Dukes Hotel in London and Stapleford Park, Leicestershire. On graduation he joined The Marriott in Grosvenor Square, London for 2 years. Tim then returned to the South West to the Thurlestone Hotel in Devon as Assistant Manager. In 1997 he returned to the family business in Torquay shortly before they purchased the Ilsington Country House Hotel on Dartmoor in 1998 and ran the hotel until the end of 2014 when he handed the reins on to his brother. He is now in a full-time role as Estates Director at Thurlestone Estates which own Thurlestone Hotel and Mullion Cove Hotel
