Andrew Stembridge is the driving force and strategic vision behind Iconic Luxury Hotels, a collection of some of the UK's most notable hotels including Cliveden, Chewton Glen, Lygon Arms, 11 Cadogan Gardens, The Mayfair Townhouse and The Draycott Hotel. Having graduated from the Scottish Hotel School, University of Strathclyde with Joint Honours in Hotel Management & Tourism, Andrew remained in Scotland for the early part of his career with positions at Gleneagles, One Devonshire Gardens and as part of the opening team for both Edinburgh and Glasgow Malmaison's before moving to the USA. He returned to the UK a couple of years later for his first stint at Chewton Glen, leaving only to fulfil his goal of being a GM of a five red-star property by the age of 30 at The Scotsman Hotel. 2 years later he returned to Chewton Glen as Managing Director from where his current role has grown. Andrew sat on the International Board of Relais & Châteaux for 8 years and remains on the UK & Ireland Steering Committee. He has also completed the GMP at Cornell and BLP at Cranfield thanks to the generosity of the MI Scholarships and whilst MI Chairman was instrumental in the conception of the MI Aspiring Leaders Diploma. Andrew has masterminded two MI/SJS long-distance charity cycle challenges from Innholders Hall to Reims, raising in excess of £50,000 for HA and the MICT.
