Created by the Master Innholders, the 26th Annual Hotel General Managers’ Conference is offering a line-up of world-renowned speakers and thought-provoking sessions. Curated by the 2019 Conference Chair David Taylor FIH MI, VP Operations – Principal Hotels at InterContinental Hotels Group, the programme aims to empower hotel professionals for the year ahead.

Capturing the 2019 theme of ‘Now Is The Time To…’, the conference is a key networking and development opportunity, with sessions offering implementable techniques and insight that can be applied immediately.

Award-winning keynote speaker, Marcus Child will provide insight to the psychology and motivations of people, and how organisations can embrace these variables to inspire confidence, wholeheartedness and courage at times of change.

Throughout his session ‘The Human Firewall’, keynote speaker Rob May will deliver key tips and techniques on how we can better understand and protect ourselves from the biggest threat – our online behaviour.

Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones, also known as The Black Farmer, will take to the stage on day two of the conference to discuss his personal story of building his dream business. The award-winning entrepreneur will offer a wealth of leadership knowledge and discuss how businesses should challenge the status quo and embrace jeopardy.

Senior lecturer at Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne and technology expert, Ian Millar will share a countdown of the top 10 technology trends that do and will have an impact on the hospitality Industry. From the IoT, artificial intelligence, Guest communication platforms, sentiment analysis and big data, this session will give you technology trends that you can take back to your company and action.

An overview of the political changes and challenges facing the industry will be outlined by CEO of UKHospitality, Kate Nicholls, and CBRE’s David Bailey will deliver vital insight into how hotels can adapt to be at the forefront of the latest trends in the industry from.

Executive leadership coach David Guile will impart his knowledge on maximising the potential and building the resilience of your team. Following on the topic of employee engagement, serial entrepreneur Stefan Wisenbach will enlighten delegates with a session on how they can bridge the gap between aspiration and achievement to reach their goals.
