The Master Innholders appoints Wallace Vincent MBA FIH as new Executive Secretary

September 2018

Wallace Vincent MBA FIH has been formally appointed Executive Secretary of the Master Innholders. Vincent, who is the former secretary of the Special Forces Club, takes over from Philippe Rossiter FIH MI following his retirement.

With a 23-year military career under his belt, Vincent has worked with some of the world’s largest service providers in the defence, healthcare, and education sectors as a divisional director. As a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, Vice President of the Réunion des Gastronomes and a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Cooks, Vincent is firmly embedded within the hospitality industry.

As a former Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma (MIALD) tutor, Vincent will be using his expertise to lead and promote the Master Innholders’ educational programmes, as well as manage the delivery of the Annual General Managers’ Conference held in January.

Speaking of his appointment, Vincent said: “I’m excited to be working with a group of hospitality professionals who are as passionate about our industry as I am. My goal is to continue to grow the Master Innholders education and training schemes and support the Chairman in promoting the membership.”

Stuart Bowery FIH MI, Chairman of the Master Innholders, added: “Wallace is a well-recognised industry professional and I’m thrilled to welcome him to the Master Innholders. He joins at an exciting time for the organisation as next year marks our 40th anniversary and the 25th Annual General Managers’ Conference. I look forward to working closely with him and the Executive Committee throughout my chairmanship.”

The Master Innholders is at the cutting edge of hotel management and continue to influence standards across the hospitality sector. Applications for the sought-after Master Innholder Scholarships will open this summer and applications for membership and the MIALD will open again in autumn.
