AICR UK announce the 2023 Receptionist of the year award winner
Chelsea Lacey, from Pennyhill Park, has been named the winner of the 2023 AICR UK Receptionist of the year competition.
Tia Weekes, Receptionist at Pan Pacific and Cystal Alcorta, Receptionist at Shangri-la, the Shard were awarded second runner up and first runner up respectively.
The announcement was made at an evening reception at The Dorchester on 20th November, which was attended by over 120 Hospitality industry professionals following four months of assessments and judging through the various stages. The winner of this prestigious award will go on to represent the United Kingdom at an international level during the congress in Nice, France in February 2024 to compete for the David Campbell trophy and coveted World’s Best Receptionist title. This global contest allows every Receptionist around the world to showcase their skills in service excellence, front office expertise, passion for Hospitality and to compete on an international stage.
The annual competition hosted by the AICR UK is open to individuals from across the UK Hospitality industry who work full-time in Hotel Reception. Since it’s inception, candidates and eventual winning finalists have come from a range of hotels. The event is proud to have partnered this year with both the Master Innholders and Institute of Hospitality
