Innholder Scholarships now open for up to 14 hotel professionals
The Master Innholders continues to motivate and shape the next generation of hotel executives announcing that applications for its 2023 Innholder Scholarships are now open.
Up to 14 Innholder Scholarships are open to all general managers and heads of department in the UK hospitality industry whether they work in a large 5-star city hotel, a small provincial property or a boutique B&B. Funded by the Worshipful Company of Innholders, the Savoy Educational Trust, the Lord Forte Foundation and the Master Innholders Charitable Trust, the Scholarship has offered around 300 scholarships to industry professionals across the UK.
Successful applicants will have the chance to learn from industry leaders about market evolution, impending challenges, managerial skills, and global demands through the scholarships, worth up to £13,000 each and are designed to help industry professionals advance from managers to leaders.
Candidates receive full tuition and accommodation while attending one of two world-renowned universities, the General Managers Programme at Cornell University, USA, or the Talent Development Programme at Cranfield University, UK.
Graduates of the Innholder Scholarship will go on to join the St. Julian Scholars alumni group, which collaborates with the Master Innholders and other hospitality organisations. The St. Julian Scholars mentor industry professionals, contribute to industry charities, and promote excellence in the hospitality sector through planning training and networking events throughout the year.
Chair of St Julian Scholars, Rob Flinter is delighted to welcome a new cohort of Innholder Scholarships, he says: “I'm thankful to have experienced this scholarship myself, I received professional advancement that enabled me to advance in my career. I recommend other hoteliers to apply for this unique lifetime experience since the business knowledge and the important growth lessons I've gained since receiving the scholarship have stuck with me. I am looking forward to my new role as chairman and hope to inspire the new cohort of scholars.”
Applications for the Innholder Scholarship will close Monday 29 August.
