IoH Bursary helps fund over 120 financially disadvantaged people into IoH membership
The IoH’s Bursary Fund, which was launched in January 2022, has now helped over 120 talented individuals obtain IoH membership and say #imin.
The fund, which was established as part of the IoH’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and in line with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal No.16, is designed to help those whose financial circumstances are stopping them from accessing the wealth of resources for career development offered through IoH membership.
IoH CEO Robert Richardson, who created and has watched the IoH Bursary Fund flourish since its launch commented: “There is so much hospitality talent out there and they should all have an equal opportunity to develop themselves. I’m so proud that in the last few months we have already funded over 120 people into membership who can access mentoring, library, CPD, webinars, professional development resources, networking events, industry news, podcasts and so much more. The networking alone is already helping our newly funded bursary members develop their contacts, mental health, and job opportunities.”
The IoH is accepting IoH Bursary funding applications from anyone in the hospitality or related leisure and tourism sectors. To find out more about the IoH Bursary Fund criteria click the link. Click to apply for IoH Bursary Funding.
