IoH win the prestigious UK & Ireland Chartered Governance Institute award for diversity and inclusion initiative of the year

The Institute of Hospitality (IoH) has won the highly coveted national UK & Ireland Chartered Governance Institute awards (CGI), Patron, HM The Queen, for the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year 2021 at a star-studded reception, on 16 November at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel, London.

Against tough opposition, the judges applauded the IoH for its outstanding work in establishing their first-ever Youth Council and launching its Diversity Shield campaign earlier this year. Initiatives that both clearly identified the IoH as clear winners in the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year 2021 category.

Receiving the historic award on behalf of the Institute, Robert Richardson FIH, IoH’s CEO said: “I am so proud and overwhelmed for the Institute to be recognised by the CGI. To win the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year 2021 for the launch of the IoH’s first-ever Youth Council and the Diversity Shield initiative, part of our #imin campaign is a significant milestone in our history”.

“With the recent launch of our IoH Future Forum, our work on diversity and inclusion has only just begun. The Institute will continue to lead the way in promoting our industry as the most inclusive it can be” explained Robert.

“This is a momentous time for the Institute, and I am delighted that this award further establishes the IoH as an inclusive, diverse and progressive, educational charity. Thank you to everyone who has supported this year” he said.
