Master Innholders Charity Cycle Ride - 1st-3rd September 2023
UPDATE: Thank you to all that have expressed interest in joining this year's cycle ride. We have now filled all available slots so will not be accepting any more applicants at this time.
Kindly sponsored by Hatch Mansfield, our fantastic Charity Cycle Ride is once again returning to France in early September 2023 and is open to Master Innholders, St Julian Scholars and Aspiring Leaders.
Bikes and other items of luggage will be picked up from designated collection points (to be advised) in the South of England on Tuesday 29th August for transportation to France. Riders will need to make their own way to Dijon on Thursday 31st August in time for an evening meal and overnight stay. The cycling programme is as follows:
- Friday 1st September – Cycle to Beaune (either 50km or 100km route)
- Saturday 2nd September – Cycle to Macon (either 50km or 100km route)
- Sunday 3rd September – Cycle to Lyon Airport (either 50km or 100km route)
- Sunday 3rd September – Riders are then free to make their own arrangements to return to the UK or stay overnight and return the following day
- Tuesday 5th September – Bikes and any luggage will be returned to the designated collection points
Be aware that you do not have to commit to a certain length of route each day, you can ‘mix and match’ if you wish. Full technical support from Cycle Tours UK will be available throughout the ride. Overnight accommodation in modest hotels will be provided on 31st August, 1st and 2nd of September with all meals included, as well as the odd glass of wine! Accommodation for those who wish to stay a further night on Sunday 3rd September will be the individual’s responsibility. Riders are responsible for getting themselves to Dijon and from Lyon Airport. Likely costs to individuals are in the region of £750-£900 and, in addition, every rider is asked to raise at least £1,000 in sponsorship. As always, all money raised will be donated to hospitality industry charities.
Further information, booking details and deposit will be made available in due course.
