The Institute of Hospitality's largest free careers fair and conference returns in 2021

The Institute of Hospitality’s (IoH’s), Passion4Hospitality event, the largest one-day, free careers fair and conference for students, graduates, and apprentices, takes place at Hammersmith International Centre, Novotel London West on 19 November 2021.

The Passion4Hospitality (P4H) event, which was postponed in 2020 due to Covid, is back this year and encouraging any student, graduate, or apprentice with a passion for working in hospitality to visit the event. For 2021, P4H will feature an exciting and interactive mix of activities. A student debating competition will run for students, graduates or apprentices who want to prove their skills and hospitality management knowledge. The topic for debate this year is: ‘We believe that the UK staycation market will become more important than the overseas market over the next two years’.

Alongside this, attendees will be invited to manage a virtual hotel as part of the Hotel, Operations, Tactics and Strategy Business game (HOTS), and compete against rival teams using the interactive hospitality simulation programme.

At a time when the hospitality industry is crying out for talent, P4H will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the wealth of hospitality careers on offer, as well as network with leading industry experts and professionals. A special P4H episode of the IoH I’m In, #imin, Podcast hosted By Phil Street will be filmed live at the event and made available to IoH members and placed on general release across all the major podcast platforms two weeks later.

Already confirmed to take part in P4H’s Career’s Fair are: The Landmark Hotel; John Lewis & Waitrose Food Service & Hospitality; Hotel Café Royal; Cycas Hospitality; Grand Hotel, Brighton; The Dorchester Collection; Pennyhill Park; Dukes Hotel; Royal Household; Harbour Hotels; Farncombe Estate; Jurys Inn & Leonardo Hotels and HIT Training.

IoH CEO, Robert Richardson FIH is delighted to see the return of their flagship student and graduate event and said: “After postponing P4H last year due to the pandemic, this year we are back to make an impact. This event is so timely and relevant for students, graduates and apprentices to attend as the industry looks to secure future talent. I’m proud that the IoH operates such an amazing showcase and delighted we can engage face-to-face with young people.”

“This event is free and open to all students, graduates and apprentices, everyone is welcome” explained Robert. “But this event is only free thanks to the amazing support of our P4H sponsors: Angel Recruitment, Cartwheel Management Recruitment, Davenport Solicitors, Foodbuy, Glion, Splento and NHL Stenden Hotel Management School. With special thanks also to our business and academic partners and the other businesses who pay to attend. On behalf of the IoH I would like to thank our hospitality family who is taking part this year” he said.
