Conor O’Leary MI Announced as 2023 Hotelier of the Year

Master Innholder and Gleneagles Managing Director has been awarded this year’s esteemed Hotelier of the Year award. 

He was honoured for his efforts in transforming the company from a golf-led hotel to a 21st-century "glorious playground" and for developing Edinburgh's Gleneagles Townhouse. 

Conor was presented with the award at The Lowry hotel in Manchester by Nick Appell of Casna Group, the award's sponsor, and The Caterer editor James Stagg.  

He was chosen as the winner from former Hotelier of the Year winners and high-profile hoteliers, the judges praised O'Leary's vision and business insight along with his natural talent for leadership and nurturing his teams. 

“Conor has an unfussy style and very easy manner; he wears his role lightly, which is no easy task when you consider he runs one of the world's iconic hotels. He is a great example to up and coming hoteliers," said one of the judges. 

The award, which is presented yearly to one individual hotelier, is given to those who have gone above and beyond in the industry and helped to support those in the wider hospitality community.
