Harry Murray MBE, President of HOSPA celebrates 40 years as a Master Innholder  

Over Harry’s 40 years as a Master Innholder, Harry has been a voice of enthusiasm, reason and professionalism. Selected in 1982, Harry dedicated his time as a tremendous mentor touching the lives of many hoteliers during his long tenure. Harry was appointed MI Chairman in 1986, Harry has always been so supportive of our young professionals and has also been one of our industry’s greatest advocates and supporters. Harry established St Julian Scholars Mentoring in 2005, chairing for five years, supporting young professionals with coaching to inspire the next generation of hospitality leaders. 

Harry has managed opulent international hotels and has been recognised with numerous awards for his unwavering efforts to raise the bar on excellence and inspire the upcoming generation of hospitality leaders. His awards include an MBE for services to the hospitality industry, Catey Hotelier of the Year, Catey Lifetime Achievement Award, AA Lifetime Achievement Award, Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award, an Honorary MBA from The University of West London, and an Honorary Degree of Doctor at the University of Essex.
