Master Innholders shine at this year’s Cateys
Two Master Innholder operated hotels triumphed at the prestigious Cateys Awards, held on Tuesday at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House London.
The event celebrated outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry, recognising excellence in management, sustainability, technology, and more.
Conor O’Leary MI and his team at Gleneagles walked away with the prestigious Best Employer award. This accolade marks the culmination of a five-year initiative to foster a culture of care, driving employee engagement and supporting the hotel’s pursuit of continuous excellence.
Danny Pecorelli MI, managing director of Exclusive Collection, received the Sustainable Business award. The portfolio of seven country house hotels was honoured for its unwavering dedication to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
The evening also saw a remarkable recognition for Chris Mitchell and Robbie Laidlaw, who were honoured with the Special award for their extraordinary feat of endurance, competing in the ‘world’s toughest row’, a gruelling 3,000-mile journey across the Atlantic raising over £250,000 for Hospitality Action. Their achievement is a powerful testament to resilience, dedication, and the spirit of giving back.
