Master Innholders support for Refugees from Ukraine

The Master Innholders are acutely aware of the appalling situation in Ukraine and the plight of so many refugees fleeing to other countries, especially Poland.  It is evident that many Master Innholders are already supporting one charity or another in an attempt to alleviate the suffering of the Ukrainian people. 

However, Gold Key Media (GKM), a long standing supporter of the Master Innholders and Hotel Leadership Conference sponsor, is willing to collect certain items from any hotel in the UK for transportation to Poland.  The demand changes almost daily but Chris Horn, GKM's managing director, has been in direct contact with the office of the Mayor of Warsaw and has received the following response and request for items:

"I represent the Office of the Mayor of Warsaw, thank you very much for your kindness and commitment to helping the Ukrainian refugees.  The City of Warsaw has warehouses where goods for refugees are collected, sorted and distributed among the needy people at accommodation points organised in Warsaw, and also sent on to Ukraine.  The most needed items are: long-term food and other baby items, medical dressings, first aid kits, personal hygiene products, household chemicals, torches, batteries, sleeping bags, disposable crockery and cutlery, towels, blankets and powerbanks.  No clothes are required at this time".
