Next Generation of hotel leaders sought for Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma 2018
The next generation of hospitality leaders are being invited to apply for the opportunity to be considered for the Master Innholders Aspiring Leaders Diploma (MIALD) 2018. Applications for this unique diploma are open to supervisors and junior managers in all fields of the hotel industry.
The MIALD allows junior managers to acquire the underpinning knowledge to better lead their teams while at the same time enabling them to expand their awareness of the industry.
Now in its 7th year, the MIALD sees students study for an internationally and industry recognised Level 3 Award from the Institute of Leadership & Management, learning through a combination of group workshops, back-to-work activities, private study, project work, best practice visits and guest speakers with specialist experience.
Taking place over a 12-month period, study sessions begin in April 2018 and are broken down into two-day residential sessions giving students the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their business and the industry to develop their skills and career potential. The award-winning diploma is also endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality, enabling graduating participants to be awarded Associate membership of the industry’s professional body.
Designed to develop management skills, leadership talent and build career prospects, the MIALD covers eight key business areas: Business Management, Business Marketing and Sales, Consumer Management, Finance and Business Planning, Human Resources Management, Legislative Management, Professional Development and Leadership.
The programme is delivered within a variety of outstanding hotel venues with past hosts including Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, Aviator Hotel, Grosvenor House London, a JW Marriott Hotel and Northcote.
Past diploma graduates have benefitted from this qualification, helping to develop their careers and now hold senior roles in some of the country’s leading hotels.
Applicants must be nominated by a senior colleague and submit an application form by 16 February 2018. Generous financial support is provided by the Master Innholders Charitable Trust, with the employer of each successful applicant required to contribute £1,500 towards the overall cost of the programme.
